Remember a few years ago when NFTs were the hottest trend, and it seemed like everyone was jumping in? While the hype didn’t quite live up to expectations for most, I was fortunate enough to snag three limited-edition NFTs from the official Texas Chainsaw Massacre (TCM) collection.
Even though the NFT craze cooled down, these unique collectibles still hold a special place—especially for horror fans like myself. Owning a piece of digital history from such an iconic horror franchise is pretty exciting!
Did anyone else here manage to pick up any memorable NFTs during that wild period?
as an artist, i have my personal qualms with NFTs, but in this case in particular, i have a problem with them because it is extremely frustrating to me that chase would focus on pumping this stuff out rather than focus on improving the oficial releases of the film, its insane to me that his grand idea of a 50th aniversary release is to repackage the same stuff from the previous releases, and actually adding LESS CONTENT by not including the 40th aniversary outtakes , and packaging it in a plastic chainsaw and calling it done, thats ludacrous.
100% agree. They charged all those people $300 then realized they barley sold any so they cut the price to $150. Thay shoes u right there how high they marked it up for profit. And what about the peoplr who paid $300 already? There just fucked?. Its bullshit the guys running the show only care about profitm exactly why the tcmfanclub will be the real makn hub for all tcm fans
